Key policies
Key policies. Below is a list of key policies that I adhere to in my coaching, healing, and guidance work.
Informed Consent
Before I start working with a client, I send them two informed consent documents to read, sign, and return to me.
The first consent form outlines: my background, the overall coaching, healing, and guidance process, the benefits/risks/limitations of my approach, the importance of confidentiality, and my cancellation and payment policies. The second form outlines the potential privacy risks associated with working together online (this form is only sent to clients who are working with me virtually).
I encourage each client to review both documents in detail and ask me any questions they might prior to signing them. I try to provide clarity.
Confidentiality
What I talk about with clients during sessions is private and confidential. I do not and will not share anything a client shares with me with any other third party, unless I receive prior written consent from said client (this includes my needing permission from a client to share any of their non-identifiable information as well).
Self-Sovereignty
Self-sovereignty is the principle of being the ultimate authority over your own life, decisions, and personal evolution. It means cultivating deep embodied self-awareness, autonomy, and responsibility for your thoughts, emotions, and actions—rather than being controlled by external influences, societal expectations, or unconscious patterns (as far as possible).
The principle of self-sovereignty is critical in my client work. The work I do with clients is co-creative (my consciousness, their consciousness, spirit) and I do my best to neutralize any human power dynamics that might skew this process.
I do (well, my energy does) tend to ‘activate’ or ‘catalyze’ growth in clients. I strive to calibrate my energy to each client’s situatedness so that the ensuing growth is healthy and sustainable.
If I sense that a client is becoming unhealthily reliant—giving their power away to me—I bring this up as a topic of conversation to explore and ultimately transmute. Maintaining personal power and self-sovereignty (as far as possible) is really important.
